Kids’ Favourite Hot Dog Mummies for Halloween

Craving a quick, party-favorite Halloween bite? Make these Hot Dog Mummies — golden, cheesy, and spookily delicious! With just a few ingredients and your Flip-Open Oven, you’ll have festive treats ready in under 30 minutes.

Method:

Step 1: Prep the Dough

Unroll the crescent dough and cut the dough into long strips as needed.

Step 2: Wrap Like a Mummy

Wrap one hot dog with one dough strip, stretching gently. Criss-cross occasionally to resemble mummy wrappings. Leave a small section exposed for eye decoration. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 3: Bake to Golden Perfection

Preheat our Flip-Open Oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Bake the hot dogs for 15 minutes, or until the mummies are golden and crisp.

Step 4: Add the Spooky Eyes

While the mummies bake, prepare your chosen eye decorations. Once baked and slightly cooled, place the eyes on the exposed hot dog sections as you like — bring your spooky imagination to life!

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack crescent dough (or puff pastry)
  • 5 bun-length hot dogs
  • Candies for eye decoration
